The Process

As a business mentor, Clive specialises in working closely with his clients to provide comprehensive and often long-term coaching. Here's how our partnership would typically unfold:

  • In longer-term engagements, the journey together starts with an onboarding process in which clients complete four psychometric tests: the FANTASTIC Wheel of Life Survey; the VIA Character Strengths Survey; the Mental Toughness Questionnaire (MTQ48); the Kolb Experiential Learning Profile (KELP); and the VARK Learning Modalities Test. These give Clive data from which he can assess your current position and help advise on objectives, templates, execution and development.

  • In all engagements, face-to-face (on Zoom or in-person) sessions begin with a two-hour conversation, where Clive uses deep coaching questions to surface a mutual understanding of your past, present, and future. This critical first step sets the foundation for our work together, ensuring we deeply understand your situation and challenges and align our work with your aspirations and growth trajectory.

  • From there, if we’re dealing with business growth, we’ll dig into your business’s position. Again we need to develop a deep understanding of your business model, its environment and strategy.

  • Once we have a mutual deep understanding of your situation, we’ll turn to your objectives. We’re looking for purposeful, authentic goals that address your challenges, the achievement of which will markedly improve your situation.

  • Once clear objectives are established, we get into some deep work. These structured meetings review the client’s progress from the previous period and strategize for the period ahead. The sessions are driven by a clear agenda and focused on tangible actions aligned with your objectives.

While the bulk of the work takes place during these sessions, Clive encourages his clients to reach out with any questions or concerns that might arise in between. He aims to be an accessible resource and support to his clients throughout their partnership.
